Why EVAP System Service Is Important

The evaporative emission control system captures fuel vapors from the tank and directs them into the engine for combustion. Leaking hoses, faulty valves, or damaged components can interfere with this process. A check engine light, fuel odor, or failed smog inspection may indicate a problem that requires diagnosis.

Our EVAP System Diagnosis & Repair Process

When you bring your car in for an EVAP inspection, we follow a thorough, precise process to pinpoint the issue and get your system running again. Our service includes:

• Comprehensive System Scan: We use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to read trouble codes and identify EVAP-related faults.
• Smoke Test for Leaks: Using specialized smoke machines, we locate even the most minor vapor leaks in the EVAP lines, valves, or tank seals.
• Component Inspection & Replacement: We inspect every part of your EVAP system — including the charcoal canister, purge solenoid, vent valve, and hoses — and replace only what’s necessary with high-quality parts.
• System Reset & Verification: After repairs, we reset your system and test it to ensure your check engine light stays off and your car passes emissions tests.
